Before You Come

Who are we?

Teach in Brazil is a outreach of World Renewal Brazil that provides English staff to the International School of Carpina.

The school has several goals:

• We help church planters by paying rent for the upkeep of the seminary and main ministry building.
• We introduce the upper and middle class children of the region to Christ.
• We bridge the gap between the wealthy and the poor by offering scholarships to lower income families in the ministry
• We train the future Christian leaders of Brazil to make a difference today and tomorrow.

Want to join us?

• Are you a follower of Christ and actively involved in a church?
• Are you over the age of 20?
• Are you willing to raise your own support?
• Do you have at least one year of experience teaching children (Sunday school, camps, and/or tutoring may also be accepted)?
• Are you a flexible person who adapts easily to new cultures and ministries?

How to Apply:

1. Download the application and submit it to Lindsay Turner and Steve Turner.
2. The field representative for World Renewal Brazil will schedule an interview with you.
3. The Brazil staff will call you for a brief phone interview.
4. We'll contact your references and pastor.
5. You will be notified of your acceptance into the program!

After you are accepted:

1. You will work with World Renewal International to get your plane tickets and visa for Brazil.
2. You will talk to World Renewal about fundraising and start raising the necessary funds.
3. You will be e-mailed more info about your trip and a suggested packing list.
4. We will have a pre-flight talk (or talks) about a month before you leave about any more questions you might have.
